Nissan qashqai approved used cars

The Nissan Qashqai is considered to be a crossover vehicle. This means that it is a combination of an ordinary hatchback and an off road vehicle. It is available as a two wheel drive and four wheel drive, and, whilst not having all the features of a true off roader, it does work very well and safely on harsh road conditions. It also offers all the benefits of a standard hatchback.

Four engines are available, two petrol and two diesel. The petrol engines include a 1.6 and a 2.0 litre, which deliver 115 bhp and 140 bhp respectively. The diesels engines include the 1.5 litre dCi which will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 12.2 seconds and has a fuel economy of 54 mpg; and the 2.0 litre dCi which develops 150bhp. Six speed manual gearboxes are standard on all models apart from the 1.6 litre, which has a five speed gearbox. Automatic transmission is also available.

Driving the Qashqai feels very much like driving a conventional hatchback. Its additional height, compared with a conventional car, does mean there is a little more body roll when cornering steeply, but otherwise it is a joy to drive and easy to manoeuvre in tight situations. It is also very comfortable.

The four wheel drive version will distribute up to 50% of the torque to the rear wheels, which makes it much safer when driving on snow and ice or muddy road conditions. Off road it fares better than a normal car, though it is not a full off-roader.

It is not that easy to find a used Qashqai as they have been available only since 2007, though with some help from Motors.coyou should be able to source one close to where you are.

There is also a Qashqai +2 available which can carry seven people. This was launched in 2008 and is slightly taller and longer than the normal Qashqai. If you need to ferry a group of children to school, this really is the ideal and safe way to do it.
