Nissan's original Qashqai has added another award to its collection after being named Used Car of the Year.
The car, which has notched up global sales of more than two million, received the accolade at the AM Awards in Birmingham.
Its victory comes just weeks after its successor, the all-new Nissan Qashqai, was named Car of the Year 2014 by What Car? magazine.
The latest model, now on sale across Europe, impressed judges with its blend of economy, performance, style and equipment.
It has also been awarded a maximum five-star rating by the independent safety organisation Euro NCAP.
The new Qashqai features a host of innovative features which helped it perform well in Euro NCAP's increasingly stringent safety tests.
Its passenger compartment remained stable during front impact tests, with dummy readings indicating good protection for the legs of both driver and passenger.
The car also achieved top scores in the side barrier test and Child Occupant tests.
Meanwhile, its front bumper was awarded maximum points for the protection provided to the legs of pedestrians.
